Special Track on
Case Studies and Methodologies: stCSM 2025 |
|
The organization of this Special Track on “Case Studies and Methodologies,”
has been inspired by professor T. Grandon Gill’s book Informing with
the Case Method (2011, Informing Science Press). Professor Gill will deliver a workshop on the Case Method, which will have no additional charge for the conference participants. All workshop attendees will receive an attendance certificate, signed also by Professor Grandon Gill. From this book
it becomes evident that “Case Studies and Methodologies” are probably one of the best means to effectively:
- Relating disciplines via Interdisciplinary Research, Education, and Communication: IDREC 2025
- Integrating Research, Education, and Problem Solving: IREPS 2025
- Relating and integrating Research and Consulting:
RC 2025
- Relating and integrating implicit and explicit knowledge required for supporting Action-Research and Action Learning:
ARAL 2025
Any article on Case Study and/or methodology, implicitly or explicitly related to the above four areas, as well as to any of the topics given below is welcome to be reviewed for its presentation at the special track and later for its publication in the special issue of the journal.
The above four areas might also be reciprocally related among themselves and/or with case studies and methodologies via cybernetic co-regulation and/or synergistic co-amplification loops. This might produce creative analogical thinking and cross-disciplinary with desirable intellectual and pragmatic effects.

About the Journal of Systemics, Cybernetics, and Informatics (JSCI)
JSCI was asked by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) to re-apply because DOAJ identified more rigorous criteria to list journals in its directory and to index them. After re-applying the Journal was accepted again with the following new benefits (we are doing a copy and paste from the email we received from them):
"Benefits of supplying DOAJ with metadata:
- Our statistics show more than 900 000 page views and 300 000 unique visitors a month to DOAJ from all over the world.
- Many aggregators, databases, libraries, publishers and search portals collect our free metadata and include it in their products. Examples are Scopus, Serial Solutions and EBSCO.
- DOAJ is OAI compliant and once an article is in DOAJ, it is automatically harvestable.
- DOAJ is OpenURL compliant and once an article is in DOAJ, it is automatically linkable.
- Over 95% of the DOAJ Publisher community said that DOAJ is important for increasing their journal's visibility.
- DOAJ is often cited as a source of quality, open access journals in research and scholarly publishing circles."
We are supplying our Journal’s meta-data to DOAJ; which is frequently referenced as a white list for electronic open access journals.
